EHS & Security Manager NL

Shirley Parsons is partnering with a leading manufacturing company who is looking to add a Manager of EHS & Security to their team. This person will be in charge of applying and adhering to all facility EHS&S procedures and standards. Partner with site leadership to strengthen the safety culture and enhance overall EHS&S performance. This position will report directly to the Site Director and will oversee a team of EHS and waste water experts to ensure a safe workplace environment.

• Review emerging environmental and safety requirements and implement appropriate actions in response.
• Oversee and retain accountability for the operation of our Class D wastewater treatment facility..
• Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly overviews of EHS&S initiatives and performance, and compile and submit the organization’s monthly sustainability metrics to the parent company.
• Work closely with HR to manage all Workers’ Compensation matters and case activity for the facility.
• Establish uniform EHSS frameworks encompassing control design, methodologies, procedures, programs, and the application of leading EHSS best practices.

• Bachelors in Environmental, Safety; equivalent experience will also be considered. M.S. Degree or equivalent experience in Environmental or Safety Engineering is a plus.
• 4+ years’ progressive EHS experience within the manufacturing industry. Management experience is a plus.
• A recognized professional credential in environmental or safety disciplines (such as CHMM, CSP, or CIH) is highly desirable. An Indiana Class D wastewater license is preferred, or the candidate should be prepared to obtain it within one year.
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to communicate with every level of an organization.
