Overview
SAIC is looking for a Drafter/ Cad Operator III to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will support a team creating/updating Technical Data Packages using Auto Cad CAD Software, Architectural background preferred with knowledge of using Auto Cad with view-ports using the model tab, layout out tab, scaling and layers. Have the ability to communicate effectively and able to complete professional correspondence.
Creates and modifies detailed drawings using AutoCAD CAD Software
Works closely with the Customer, Engineers, Technicians and other CAD Operators to capture design
Works independently as well as in a collective team effort to effect changes to design and/or documentation
- Performs a variety of moderate and complex tasks and have the ability to use a variety of tools to include, but not limited to, Calipers, Gauges, Tape Measure, Ruler and other mechanical devices to aid in design development and verification/validation of first article pieces
REQUIRED
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
Hands-on mechanical/electro-mechanical knowledge and aptitude with understanding of currently accepted manufacturing processes and ISO procedures
Understand Architectural Layouts and procedures
Must be detail oriented and able to communicate complex ideas
Ability to quickly complete tasking independently and as a team member, with detailed or general instruction
Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
Candidate must be a US Citizen
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree or Bachelor s in a related field and
Knowledge of: ASME-Y14.100, MIL-STD-31000 an associated Drawing Standards, Technical Data Packages, and Military Standards
Experienced with AutoCAD
