RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be well‑versed in modern project management techniques within complex, multi‑functional organizations; possess a sound understanding of engineering, design, procurement and contracting, safety, construction, and commissioning.
  • Establish strong relationships with clients and communicate with both technical and management‑level personnel.
  • Create and/or maintain best practices to identify and incorporate cost‑effective engineering solutions.
  • Develop, manage, and report on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage assigned work from initiation through close‑out, covering all aspects related to work delivery to ensure timely and effective execution.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and report to management on progress, findings, and recommendations.
  • Perform forensic analysis of existing building systems to improve facility performance.
  • Research new technologies and assess their feasibility for integration into building systems.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for all mechanical and plumbing disciplines, from project development through delivery.
  • Vendor Management and Contract Compliance:
    • Provide vendor oversight and performance management.
    • Review and approve vendor scopes of work and site/building design plans.
    • Manage the selection, contracting, and integration of multiple vendors and internal partners.
    • Facilitate client/sponsor decision‑making to drive solutions, adhere to schedules, and manage change as needed.
    • Apply and influence negotiation strategies to identify options and recommend solutions.
    • Manage compliance with audit results and recommendations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required Qualifications
    • 12+ years of construction and project management experience in the mechanical/plumbing field, supporting development of various facility types (e.g., mission‑critical semiconductors, hospitals, hotels, etc.).
    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, project management, or a related technical field.
    • Prior hyperscale data center development and construction experience.
    • Strong understanding of construction and building systems.
    • Strong working knowledge of pre‑design and pre‑construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building components/systems, and applicable technologies.
    • Experience developing various types of reports for different audiences.
    • Experience in client‑facing roles.
    • Proven ability to understand complex technical construction programs and clearly communicate progress to both technical and management‑level personnel.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly to any audience.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
    • Active membership in PMI, CCMA, or similar associations.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
    • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
    • Design, testing, and commissioning experience is a strong plus.
