- Directs and leads engineering and maintenance teams in planning and executing maintenance, engineering, and continuous improvement programs.
- Assigns personnel to specific project phases including design, specifications, testing, installation, and production support.
- Leads new programs from proof of design through installation and full production integration.
- Reviews product and equipment designs for compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and operational requirements.
- Coordinates technical activities, schedules, and resolution of engineering design and testing issues.
- Oversees integration of technical activities and equipment into manufacturing operations.
- Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, drawings, budgets, bids, contracts, and project expenditures.
- Prepares and reviews interim and final project status reports.
- Collaborates with engineering teams to integrate electrical and control systems into equipment and facility designs.
- Manages capital and maintenance projects including scope, schedules, budgets, and progress reporting.
- Oversees plant electrical systems and provides engineering support; manages electrical supervision and staff.
- Provides technical analysis and risk assessments for energy and utility-related projects.
- Establishes and maintains working relationships with engineering, maintenance, construction, and procurement partners.
- Supports plant operations to ensure production, quality, delivery, cost control, compliance, and performance objectives are met.
- Manages maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production.
- Develops and implements improved maintenance methods and procedures to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Oversees procurement of tools, equipment, spare parts, and supplies.
- Directs fabrication, modification, and rebuilding of equipment and tooling.
- Leads maintenance of plant utility systems including electrical power, compressed air, gas, steam, and HVAC.
- Inspects equipment and systems to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Manages preventive maintenance programs and develops PM schedules and calendars for all equipment.
- Reviews production, quality, and maintenance metrics to prioritize and adjust maintenance activities.
- Prepares and manages department budgets; monitors expenditures and cost controls.
- Hires, trains, mentors, and evaluates engineering and maintenance supervisory staff.
- Conducts performance reviews and resolves personnel and operational issues.
- Ensures compliance with environmental, health, safety, and housekeeping standards and programs.
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, PC Technical Masters degree and Certifications a plus.
- 10-15 years experience in industrial environment as Plant/Project Engineer
- 4 years Engineering Management/Supervisory Experience
- 4 years experience in maintenance supervision and management
- Experience with SCADA systems programming, HMI and PLC controls
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills; written and verbal are required to interact with various groups to obtain their needs and understand their problems with SCADA applications or systems.
- Environmental training applicable to the job

- ISO 14001 and 9001 awareness, EMS objectives and targets, plant significant environmental impacts
- OHSAS 45001 Awareness, OH&S-MS Objectives and Goals, Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control
The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, works near moving mechanical parts, and frequently exposed to extreme heat. The employee occasionally works in high precarious places, in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in some areas of the work environment requires ear protection.
Employee must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
