The ideal candidate is a creative team player who can work within a "team concept." Possesses good communication skills and is able to work independently, with support from the Department Manager or other Survey staff.
Responsibilities- Produce Federal, State, and Local mandated documents required for Land Acquisition in pending construction projects
- Perform project research, review, and interpret title work
- Prepare legal descriptions, right of way plans, right of way plats, area computations, calculation sheets, and stakeouts
- Interpret and review Location Control Route Survey Plats and transportation design plans
- Education:
College-Level Courses in Land Surveying - Registration: INDOT Right of Way Plan Development Certified
- Experience:
Not less than 3 years in Land Surveying or Right of Way Engineering - Proficient in the use of the INDOT Right of Way Engineering Manual
- Working knowledge of the INDOT Design Process
- Working knowledge of the INDOT Land Acquisition Process
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Working knowledge of Civil 3D and Carlson software
