Job Description:
Responsibilities- Assists with the creation of standard work methods for new and current production lines.
- Assists with the design of safe and efficient workstations for manufacturing environments using plant layout, ergonomic, and workstation design principles.
- Assists with cost analysis on make versus buy decisions for components or sub-assemblies.
- Communicates effectively by developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- Ergonomic fundamentals by understanding ergonomic concepts and applying ergonomic standards, guidelines, controls, and tools to reduce risk to employees.
- Health and safety fundamentals by identifying, reporting, and participating in actions to improve workplace health and safety.
- Line balancing by evaluating work activities to optimize operating time and distribute work content based on customer demand.
- Manufacturing analysis led design by using digital tools to model and simulate manufacturing processes and make data driven decisions.
- Manufacturing knowledge by correctly implementing changes in processes, equipment, and applications to support continuous improvement.
- Process layout by creating or modifying optimized manufacturing processes to reduce waste and process time.
- Work measurement by breaking down tasks into detailed steps to identify waste and optimize process flow.
- Values differences by recognizing the value of diverse perspectives and cultures.
- Collaborates by building partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives.
- Continuous process improvement by applying improvement and waste reduction methodologies to improve quality and reduce cost.
- Drawing interpretation by integrating product and equipment drawings to support manufacturing process design.
- Industrial engineering knowledge by applying quantitative analysis to drive the most efficient manufacturing processes.
- College degree in STEM or a related field or equivalent experience required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Basic level of relevant work experience required.
