Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer for a contract role supporting a new pharmaceutical facility buildout in Indianapolis. This position will play a key role in process design, equipment selection, and implementation to support manufacturing operations in a regulated GMP environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support process design and scale-up activities for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Support new facility buildout, including equipment layout, utilities, and process flow.
• Develop and review process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, URSs, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Validation, Quality, and Operations.
• Support equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and industry regulations.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and continuous improvement support.
• Interface with vendors, contractors, and project management teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of process engineering experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Experience supporting new facility buildouts or expansions.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Experience with process equipment, utilities, and cleanroom environments.
• Ability to work onsite in Indianapolis for the duration of the contract.
