What

You Will Be Doing
  • Support Manufacturing Component Owner in DFM sessions for CMC components to improve manufacturability.
  • Work with component design engineering to define best dimensioning scheme around functional need of components/design intent, limitations of GDT, and current measurement technologies.
  • Work with component design to create characteristic matrix plan.
  • Collaborate with HTC team and design teams to transition new products from development to manufacturing.
  • Support Capability Acquisition Lead Engineer to spec and procure measurement equipment to industrialize the inspection of CMC products.
  • Complete MSA studies and inspection plans.
  • Define and implement pre and post coating inspection methods.
  • Create and implement visual inspection techniques utilizing the latest automation technologies.
Basic Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree plus 3 years of related engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 1 year of related engineering experience.
  • Master’s Degree.
  • JD/Ph.D.
  • In lieu of a degree, 5 years of related engineering experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident.
Preferred
  • Experience with Zeiss Calypso software and Siemens NX.
  • Experience with GOM.
  • Understanding Windows computer systems, file permissions, network drives.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Experience with aerospace materials, tolerances and processes, PFMEA, PPAP, Process Excellence (six sigma), and Lean Manufacturing best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, quantitative, analytical, organizational, and follow‑up skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects/programs.
  • Experience in the management and implementation of manufacturing technologies and processes using an MRCL or Technology Readiness Level (TRL) gated process, would be an advantage.
