Job Summary:
Applies the principles of product quality planning, evaluation, and control in support of the manufacturing and installation operations of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Support the distribution center as the site quality engineer.
- Leads containment activities for quality spills from the warehouse processes.
- Support customer quality team in resolving customer complaints by implementation of corrective actions.
- Co‑ordinate between Customer Quality, operations and 3PL teams for quality improvement.
- Monitor internal audits and safe launch audit data from the warehouse processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with 3PL team in driving problem solving activities, corrective actions for repeat and high‑risk quality spills.
- Ensures products and process development meet quality standards.
- Identifies problems, prioritises actions, leads or participates in Six Sigma projects.
- Participates in change management activities by verifying products and processes, developing key measures, analysing data for decision support, and presenting results to site leadership.
- Leads audits of processes and quality systems.
- Serves as a quality technical resource to other functional areas.
- May coach and mentor quality analysts.
- May occasionally have to lift 32 lb of parts as well as support a lot of projects on the floor that may have extensive walking or standing.
- Minimum 2 years of Quality or Logistics experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or supply chain management.
* The team member in above role may occasionally have to lift 32 lb of parts as well as support a lot of projects on the floor that may occasionally have extensive walking or standing.*
The manager would like to conduct a one‑hour in‑person interview when he is ready to proceed. This position is a 1 year, onsite role with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
