Throughout your time with Guidon, you will be provided with the opportunity for hands‑on experience in your area of study. In our dynamic, energetic, and fast‑paced office environment, you will work right alongside our company leaders to gain valuable knowledge on complex, meaningful, and impactful projects.
Job PurposeFocus as design engineer on projects to include renovations, new multi‑story buildings, parking garages, healthcare, higher education, and municipal projects.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Structural Engineering or a closely related field with at least
- 8+ years of professional experience in a Structural Engineering-related role
- Professional Licensure, preferably in multiple states or ability to be licensed in multiple states.
- Design new construction and renovation projects from concept through construction under the direction of a Senior Engineer;
- Coordinate with other Engineering Disciplines and Architects;
- Observe on‑site construction;
- Review Construction Contractor questions and submittals;
- Review cost estimates for proposed construction projects;
- Manage a workload consisting of 10+ projects at a time, all at various stages of completion;
- Prepare and present Structural Engineering presentations to both internal and external parties;
- Coordinate structural engineering activities within a multi‑disciplinary project team;
- Experience with cast‑in‑place and precast concrete, steel framing, wood structures;
- Experience with shop drawings and RFI review;
- Experience with preparing and reviewing cost estimates;
- Strong knowledge of multiple building codes;
- Strong experience working in Revit;
