Position: Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer - regulatory compliance
Location: Nappanee

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented EHS Engineer to join our team and support our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives. In this role, you’ll ensure compliance with environmental regulations, lead sustainability and energy reduction projects, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations (air, stormwater, waste, etc.).
  • Lead and support sustainability, energy reduction, and safety improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize Safety Management Systems (SMS) and documentation to meet regulatory and internal standards.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and accident investigations to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and deliver EHS-related training programs.
  • Collaborate with department leaders, supervisors, and safety committees to implement effective safety practices.
  • Support contractor safety programs and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement through proactive risk management and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Safety, or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations (e.g., air permits, stormwater) and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in varied environments (office, manufacturing, and outdoors).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
