* QUALIFICATIONS:

** A high school graduate or equivalent.  Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read and comprehend routine information, write legibly and make basic arithmetic calculations.  Must have a valid Indiana Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.  Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.  Must be neat and clean in appearance and able to converse with the general public.  

Knowledge of streets and roads in the Company service area and ability to read and interpret maps is desirable.  All other qualifications, such as physical fitness, attendance, safety and performance records will be considered.  Additional consideration will be given for the following job related training or experience:

Experience in meter reading and associated functions;
Experience or knowledge of Customer Information System;
Knowledge of streets and roads in the Company’s service area; and Any other qualifications contributing to the applicant’s ability to perform the job.
** PRIMARY DUTIES:

Checking for various irregularities such as meter tampering; and

Reporting pertinent information in connection with the  addition to the primary duties listed above, the employee may be called upon to perform other work as circumstances require.

Must know and comply with all Company safety and health policies and procedures applicable to work performance.
