We’re looking for a Generator Technician to join our team at Pearce, a leading independent service provider for critical telecommunication and renewable energy infrastructure. With over 2,500 team members nationwide, we deliver comprehensive engineering, maintenance, repair, and repowering solutions for wireless and wireline telecom, solar, wind, EV charging stations, power generation, critical power, and energy storage assets.
Your ImpactAs a Generator Technician, you’ll service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers throughout your region. This role is ideal for independent, self‑starter technicians who are eager to travel and solve challenging problems in a fast‑paced environment.
Core Responsibilities- Maintain generators, diagnose and repair problems, and install or replace components or entire systems.
- Perform routine performance checks and maintenance to ensure generator readiness, reading and following blueprints or design specifications.
- Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and other components; test for proper operation.
- Respond promptly to power/gen alarms; be on call 24/7 as needed and reply to assigned phone/email alerts.
- Work safely with potential hazards such as falls, electric shock, falling objects, and traffic; use safety equipment and attend all designated safety and training meetings.
Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
Core Experience- Two or more years of generator maintenance experience preferred; at least one year of intense generator and electrical maintenance work.
- Comprehensive knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, repair, electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; moderate computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
- Position requires lifting over 50 pounds, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment/alarms effectively both visually and audibly.
- Willing and able to drive long distances, work day, evening, or night hours; overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Assume 24‑hour on‑call duty when assigned and travel away from home for extended periods.
- Must pass a DOT physical.

CompensationBase Pay Range: $30 USD – $40 USD per hour.
