- Bachelor’s Degree
- Licensed or on track for licensure (Minimum sub license)
- Strong understanding of restorative practices
- Strong knowledge of restorative practices
- Knowledge of No-Nonsense Nurturer and/or 4-Step Model for student behavior management helpful, but not required
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively, maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships
- Eagerness and ability to receive and implement feedback from manager, coach, and/or peers
They will also meet the following qualifications and possess these preferred skills:
What This Role Will Accomplish- Manage all discipline referrals (anything that does not lead to an out of school suspension)
- Executes school culture systems and procedures (transitions, family communication, uniforms, etc)
- Monitors school culture systems and procedures and provides feedback on possible adjustments to the Assistant Principal of School Culture (APSC)
- Tracks, analyzes, and responds to student culture data
- Shares progress towards culture goals with staff and students
- Executes proactive student culture supports and incentives
- Ensure decisions about student behavior are student-centered, restorative, and support classroom management.
- Supports APSC to respond to major incidents -- anything leading to an out of school suspension (family communication, mediations, implementing restorative consequences, etc)
- Support teachers and students to meet all school expectations (in classrooms, hallways, lunchroom, etc)
- Receive and implement feedback from manager, coach, and/or peers
Utilize
Data management tools, organizational tools, and computer skills (Google Suite: Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Forms, Etc.) - Collaborate and work successfully within the Student Response Team
- Maintain a clean and safe coaching center
- Maintain VCP equipment to remain in working order; chrome books, textbooks, pencils, pens, etc. that belong to the school should be returned to their proper place at the end of each class period, when necessary
