Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students in grades 6-8, fostering a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking. This role requires a dynamic educator committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and social growth of all students.

Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ELA lessons aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines. Develop and implement instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of middle school learners. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback. Create a classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a growth mindset. Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance instruction and student engagement.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school-wide initiatives. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field. Valid Indiana teaching license or certification in English Language Arts for middle school. Experience teaching middle school ELA preferred.

Strong knowledge of ELA curriculum, instructional best practices, and assessment methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools.
