About the Role

As Program Chair will develop and update schedule of class offerings in Psychology; hire and supervise faculty; staff class sections; onboard, support, and conduct evaluations of all adjunct, full-time, and Dual Credit faculty for Psychology; advise and mentor students; develop partnerships with community partners and employers; lead advisory board meetings; work with four-year institution partners in the Indianapolis area and statewide;

and work with internal partners to recruit, advise, and support program students; support professional development within the department; serve on the leadership team for the School of Arts, Sciences & Education.

As a faculty member, you will provide instruction within specific ASE programs as credentialed and consistent with ASOM loading; assist academic administrators with curriculum development, student advising, program enrollment; complete annual program review; provide institutional support and community service. Fully supports the College's mission and strategic plan initiatives.

Provide quality and engaging instruction in all delivery methods and formats within specific academic programs; provide timely and meaningful feedback to students regarding the mastery of course and program learning outcomes; engage students outside of class in support of the curriculum and co-curriculum; provide institutional support and community service; participate meaningfully in student retention and completion initiatives; support the College’s mission and strategic plan initiatives;

conform to regional expectations of faculty performance and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain curriculum and supporting course materials in keeping with and furtherance of course objectives and program learning outcomes.
  • Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and other documentation as required. Manage a classroom environment conducive to student learning and in adherence to federal, state, and college safety standards and practices.
