Position Summary
The IU School of Medicine (IUSM) Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology & Physiology (ACBP) seeks a well‑qualified and highly motivated assistant professor for a clinical‑track faculty position. Successful applicants must hold a PhD and/or MD. Competitive candidates will have significant background in teaching gross anatomy and general physiology to medical and professional students. The position also includes administering a pre‑professional master’s degree program in biomedical science and oversight duties on other graduate programs.
An active research program is not required. The IUSM is committed to advancing outstanding educational delivery in an integrated environment of basic science and clinical care.
- Collaborate and participate in interdisciplinary teams across fields in the department.
- Develop and deliver anatomy, physiology, embryology, histology, and neuroanatomy courses.
- Engage in service opportunities within the department and school.
- Provide oversight on graduate programs and administer the pre‑professional master’s program.
- Doctorate or terminal degree (PhD or MD) required.
- Significant background teaching gross anatomy and general physiology to medical and professional students.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary educational settings.
- Commitment to improve health equity and well‑being for all.
