Position Overview:
Southridge Middle School is seeking a passionate and dynamic teacher to join our team for the school year. The specific content area may be flexible depending on the applicant's licensure and experience, but a strong ability to build relationships, manage a classroom effectively, and engage students is essential.
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering engaging, standards-based instruction to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students
- Creating a classroom culture of respect, growth, and high expectations
- Using data to drive instruction and adjust teaching strategies
- Collaborating with colleagues to support student learning and school initiatives
- Maintaining clear communication with students, parents, and staff
- Participating in professional development and contributing to school improvement efforts
- Valid Indiana teaching license preferred
- Experience working with middle school students preferred
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- A growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
