Position Overview

Instructional Assistants will have various duties, with a focus on student support of all kinds. They will follow their given schedules unless needed to sub in a classroom. They will work under the direction of the building principal or designee. Professional development will be assigned to correspond directly with the IAs daily duties.

Responsibilities
  • Provide instructional assistance as needed.
  • Follow the IEP as written and developed by the teacher of record.
  • Perform all duties as indicated by the supervising teachers and the administration.
Qualifications
  • The preferred candidate will be a licensed elementary teacher; at least 48 college credits; an associate's degree or willing to take and achieve a passing score on the Para Pro Assessment prior to beginning work.
  • The preferred candidate will have experience working with elementary aged children.
  • The preferred candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
