Dean of Academics

The Dean of Academics will be responsible for overseeing the curricular and instructional programming for grades K-5. This will include directly managing the school’s instructional program; supporting the management of instructional staff by providing regular feedback to teachers on their effectiveness in meeting the needs of Allegiant Prep’s instructional program; and designing and delivering professional development; and analyzing student achievement data to push the strength and impact of the instructional program.

In addition, this individual will be responsible for reinforcing our school-wide behavior management system and supporting scholars on the margin.

• Observation & Coaching:Conduct daily formal and informal classroom observations; provide substantive, ongoing feedback to improve instructional delivery and intellectual preparation.
• Data-Driven Instruction:Cultivate a school-wide culture of data analysis; use assessment results to refine curriculum, inform classroom practices, and manage remediation programs.
• Operational Support:Serve with the leadership team to manage daily logistics, including arrival/dismissal, lunch/recess coverage, classroom snack replenishment, and contingency staffing/coverage plans for teacher absences.

Qualifications

• Education:Bachelor’s Degree in a related field isrequired;
  Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Teaching Experience:Minimum of four (4) years of elementary teaching experience with a proven track record of exemplary academic results.
• Leadership Experience:Previous experience in teacher coaching or instructional support (e.g., Grade Level Chair, Department Chair) isrequired.
