Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for the implementation and development of Keystone Cooperative’s Application Training Program. It involves developing solution‑oriented training, creating a vision and roadmap to execute a robust training curriculum for all Keystone applicators, and playing a critical role in enhancing equipment use, reducing idle time, and integrating technology systems such as SSI Dispatch and Apply Apps, John Deere Operations Center, and Raven Slingshot to support measurable improvement in application efficiency and service quality.
Duties & Responsibilities- Reports directly to the Director of Divisional Development.
- Directs the actions and sets goals for the Application training specialist.
- Develops and leads applicator training on machine calibration, maintenance, technology, and agronomic best practices.
- Collaborates with the Application training specialist to align training goals with equipment performance targets.
- Leads large‑group and regional training sessions (January–February) and participates in annual Agronomy events (August, December).
- Monitors all tracking and documents all training, ride‑alongs, and applicator equipment records for assigned regions (~70 applicators).
- Manages and supports adoption of equipment efficiency dashboards and maintenance record tools.
- Leads the rollout and training of Apply App, John Deere Operations Center, and Raven Slingshot platforms.
- Develops training for field technicians on the use of in‑cab equipment monitors (John Deere, Case, Raven).
- Promotes applicator professionalism, safety culture, and regulatory compliance.
- Develops and leads performance incentive tracking and applicator award program using Power BI dashboards.
- Works closely with location managers.
- Minimum 5 years of custom application experience in ag retail.
- CDL with hazmat endorsement.
- Core, Cat 1, and Cat 14 pesticide applicator licenses or similar based on local licensing requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills and passion for mentoring and training.
- Experience using precision ag technology, John Deere, Case, and Raven monitors.
- Comfortable developing and delivering structured technical training.
- Strong record‑keeping and organizational abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Post‑secondary education in agriculture or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience as a custom applicator with demonstrated leadership in technology use and application quality.
