Job Expectations:

* Provide specially designed instruction for students to demonstrate proficiency toward Indiana Academic Standards.

* Develop visual supports and structured work systems for students and ensure implementation with fidelity across all settings.

* Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments with the district's BCBA as appropriate for individual students.

* Develop Positive Behavioral Intervention Plans and ensure implementation with fidelity.

* Collect academic and behavioral progress monitoring data to inform instruction.

* Collaborate with general education teachers to modify instruction and/or ensure accommodations to support engagement within the general education classroom as appropriate for individual students.

* Collaborate with all special education team members, including Speech and Language Pathologists and occupational and Physical Therapists, to ensure students' individualized needs are met.

* Collaborate with building level and district administration.

* Build the Instructional Assistants' capacity regarding instruction, behavior support, and the carryover of the student's IEP.

* Develop compliant, meaningful IEPs and lead case conferences for students on caseload.

* Conduct transition assessments to develop meaningful transition plans for students.

* Establish and maintain positive relationships with families.

* Maintain confidentiality.
