Applied Skills Teacher

* Possess skills to engage with students with mild-to-intense special education needs.

* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in accordance with their academic and behavioral goals.

* Provide academic instruction and focus on essential daily living, social, and functional skills.

* Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages students to achieve their full potential.

* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instructional strategies and materials to meet the evolving needs of students.

* Possess knowledge of special education principles, testing, methods, federal and state laws, etc.

* Possess knowledge of differentiated instruction for individual students' learning styles.

* Participate in IEP meetings, conferences, and team discussions, providing input and updates on student progress.

* * Collaborate with parents, administrators, and other professionals to ensure the delivery of appropriate services and support for students.
