Job Description
The Early Care Provider Educator Coordinator will coordinate the efforts of the team of early care provider educators, making high-level decisions on appropriate sites, schedules, and educators. They are responsible for creating and providing early care provider professional development, conducting outreach to solicit new partnerships, and developing course schedules with partner sites. The coordinator will also assign RCLC staff to facilitate and teach courses, and handle site-related coordination.
Additionally, they will conduct the secure administration of evaluative devices, including participant surveys and impact data, in collaboration with the Center for Broader Impacts.
The role involves outreach to local not-for-profits to secure new sites for the newly designed educator courses, determining course schedules, and establishing partnerships across a four-county region in northern Indiana. The coordinator will teach and facilitate courses based on the TwYB curriculum, administer professional development courses, and analyze evaluative data to inform curriculum modifications. Providing feedback to participants and not-for-profit leadership to improve offerings is also part of the responsibilities.
This is a 4-year limited-term position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience, or advanced certification beyond a Bachelor’s degree.
- Education specialist or Early Childhood administrator with a Master’s in child development, education, or social work.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching early childhood education or higher education in early childhood.
- Experience working in family education and/or early childcare.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching early childhood education or higher education in early childhood.
- Advanced degree and experience leading professional development for educators.
