• Teach and mentor a diverse range of instrumental music students, from beginner to advanced.
• Help revive school's band program, uniting tradition with innovation
• Assist in leading the military band, a 70-member band that performs in on-campus and off-campus events.
• Serve as an advisor for students ensuring student success.
• Implement recruitment initiatives to draw in student musicians while mentoring and supporting their development.
• Incorporating musical instruments and movement in lessons.
• Planning and implementing a program of instruction and lesson plans.
• Preparing students for school concerts and planned music experiences.
• Inspiring and motivating students to extend themselves to after school music clubs.
• Building relationships and mentoring students.

• Bachelor’s degree in music or related field.
• At least 3 years of high school music teaching experience required.
• Expertise in brass or woodwinds strongly preferred.
• Experience with leading marching or military bands.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.
