Your Role as a Teacher
When you join our team, you’ll be at the forefront of inspiring learning experiences for elementary-aged kids during out-of-school time. You’ll partner with administrators to bring our programs to life and work closely with students to help them aim higher, think bigger, and never give up.
As a Teacher, you will:- Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom, modeling behaviors and providing constructive feedback.
- Implement Kinder Care's curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
- Partner with parents to ensure the best care and education for their children.
- Support your center’s success by collaborating with staff and leadership to achieve goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- Outstanding customer service and strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
- Approved state trainer (preferred).
- 2-3 years of Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
- Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain.
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
- Able to engage in physical activity with children and maintain visual and auditory contact for safety.
- Proficient in reading, writing, understanding, and speaking English to communicate effectively with children and parents.
