The Culver Academies is a private boarding school. We enroll students and employ faculty and staff from across the United States and around the world. Our location in Culver, Indiana, offers the best of both worlds: a beautiful, serene setting with access to large cities nearby, including Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, and within reach of Chicago and Indianapolis.

The Culver Academies is seeking a Mathematics Instructor to join our community of learners starting in fall of 2026.

• Teach two eighty-minute blocks each day, with responsibility for around 30 students at any one time during the year.
• Collaborate in weekly level team gatherings and biweekly department meetings.
• Participate in the department math help center weekly.
• Learn in a monthly interdisciplinary learning community.
• Support students outside the classroom by assisting in athletics or residential life and mentor a small group of students.

• Experience teaching mathematics as an inquiry-based curriculum that helps students think mathematically for themselves.
• Comfort guiding students in all courses from Pre-Algebra through Calculus.
• Readiness to teach in a constructivist learning environment and to design curriculum that enacts constructivist principles and targets specific competencies.

Professional development is available for all instructors and is shaped by goals set by individual teachers and the mathematics department. Opportunities include off-campus workshops and conferences, graduate work, research with students or colleagues, faculty-developed curriculum projects, and on-campus teacher forums for learning support, educational technology, and culture.
