Athletic Director - Gym Manager – St. Pius X Catholic Church, Indianapolis, IN

St. Pius X Catholic Parish, located in the Northside of Indianapolis, is looking for a full‑time Athletic Director to effectively plan, organize and manage the St. Pius X Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Athletic Program. The director will work closely with the Parish Manager, St. Pius Athletic Committee (SPAC), volunteer coaches and leadership, and collaborate with members of the Administrative Staff, the Pastoral Staff, and other groups and individuals as needed.

The role also includes oversight of concession supplies, sales, inventory, and coordination of volunteers to operate the concession stand.

• Communicate the availability of CYO sports to Saint Pius X Catholic School and the Saint Pius X Faith Formation program.
• Inform the parish at large of CYO programs by using bulletin, school and faith formation publications, and the parish website.
• Encourage all parish youth—those in our Catholic school and those who attend other private or public schools—to participate in CYO activities.
• Determine and oversee the player evaluation and team selection process; organize and schedule the various practice, game, and tournament schedules.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate a talent pool of volunteer coaches, assistant coaches, and other support staff.
• Be highly organized, possess an excellent professional demeanor, and prioritize presence at parish athletic events.
• Have strong organization and planning skills.
• Manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Manage multiple volunteers effectively.

Self‑motivated. Able to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Understands and adheres to the professional standards of conduct set forth by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and any professional degree/license requirements.

Other duties as necessary to ensure efficient functioning of the school, parish, and agency. Attend away games on rare occasions.
