- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid teaching license (or willingness to obtain one)
- Willingness to build and maintain a cooperative relationship with a co‑teacher
- Competency in using technology in the classroom
- Strong desire to work within an innovative, urban educational program
- Ability to lead a classroom using an age‑appropriate curriculum
- Collaborate as a co‑teacher, maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships.
- Use the state standards and curriculum to develop rigorous, objective‑driven lessons aligned with school‑provided curriculum maps; upload lesson internalization plans weekly.
- Present academic content through a variety of instructional strategies to reach all learners.
- Differentiated lessons for individual students based on their unique learning needs.
- Implement classroom procedures, systems, and routines that provide structure and maximize instructional time.
- Regularly assess and track student performance toward ambitious academic outcomes.
- Use data to reflect on lesson effectiveness and student progress to improve instruction and practice.
- Receive and implement feedback from manager, coach, and/or peers.
- Build meaningful, positive relationships with all students.
- Use restorative practices to build positive classroom culture.
