The Director will oversee the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of career and technical education programs across Arlington Public Schools. Responsibilities include curriculum alignment with state standards, collaborating with staff to ensure effective program delivery, monitoring program outcomes, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. The Director will also engage with community partners to establish and enhance career pathways for students, facilitate professional development for educators, and oversee the budgetary and operational aspects of the department.

The Director will:
- Oversee the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of career and technical education programs across the district.
- Manage curriculum alignment with state standards and ensure effective program delivery in collaboration with staff.
- Monitor program outcomes and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Engage with community partners to establish and enhance career pathways for students.
- Facilitate professional development for educators and oversee the department’s budgetary and operational aspects.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, program evaluation, and aligning educational initiatives with state and federal standards
- Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills
- Experience in career and technical education, workforce development, or related fields
- Effective communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with budgeting, resource allocation, and management in an educational setting
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a closely related field; relevant certifications or endorsements preferred
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally responsive educational environment
- Experience in program oversight within a K-12 educational setting and knowledge of vocational and technical program trends preferred
