About

The Role

The Assistant Director will lead the design and deployment of statewide initiatives that strengthen early childhood workforce pipelines through Registered Apprenticeships and Skills Training programs. This role serves as a statewide coordinator and partner-engagement strategist, ensuring alignment with Indiana’s workforce development priorities and the Ivy+ Career Link strategic model. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated success in project execution, partnership cultivation, and scalable training design.

Key Responsibilities And Outcomes

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

Program Implementation & Technical Assistance

  • Drive the statewide implementation of Early Childhood Registered Apprenticeship programs by providing tools, frameworks, and guidance to campus Apprenticeship Leads.
  • Deliver technical assistance to Apprenticeship Directors, Talent Connection Managers, and Employer Consultants.
  • Monitor program budgets, support reporting functions, and steward successful adoption through the Ivy Tech AVP for Apprenticeship & Work-Based Learning.
Employer Engagement & Network Building

  • Build strategic partnerships with early childhood care and education employers to expand program reach and impact.
