IU Health Physicians is seeking a Critical Care Physician to join our night ICU team at the academic health center in Indianapolis, IN.
Job Details- Team includes physicians and APPs
- 7 on/14 off schedule or 120 shifts per year; schedules support work‑life balance

Academic Health Center - Opportunities for teaching, leadership, and professional growth
- Work directly with APPs and residents as part of a team approach to care
- Academic appointment at the IU School of Medicine
- Construction underway on a new state‑of‑the‑art facility
- Outstanding bedside nursing and ancillary care providers
- Manage admissions and consultations in a multi‑specialty critical care unit
- Perform and supervise common critical care procedures
- Participate in teaching residents and advanced practice providers
- Must be BC/BE in Pulmonary and Critical Care

U.S. News & World Report lists IU Health Methodist Hospital as a top medical institution. With 1,000 beds, IU Health Methodist Hospital is a large tertiary referral center with over 130 ICU beds. It serves as the largest trauma center in Indianapolis, as well as a highly subspecialized center for cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, lung transplantation, and neurocritical care. IU Health is building a new downtown hospital and campus, which will consolidate operations of the adjacent IU Health Methodist and University Hospitals.
Construction for the new hospital is well underway and set to open in late 2027, featuring three 16‑story towers with 864 beds. IU School of Medicine is also constructing a medical education and research building directly east of the new hospital.
