We’re looking for a Collection Specialist for a hybrid opportunity based in Indianapolis, IN. This role offers a salary of $41,600 along with full benefits and a fun office culture!

Join our client's team as a Collection Specialist, where you'll play a pivotal role in recovering losses from assigned accounts. Your expertise will help manage and resolve delinquent accounts, ensuring a positive impact on our client's financial health. You'll work on-site 3-4 days per week as part of a hybrid schedule.

• High volume calling; outbound and inbound.
• Oversee a portfolio of delinquent accounts, initiating contact with debtors via phone, email, and written communication.
• Discuss outstanding debts, explore payment options, and negotiate effective payment arrangements.
• Maintain detailed records of all collection activities, ensuring compliance with client standards and federal regulations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing debtor inquiries, providing accurate information, and resolving concerns.
• Employ skip tracing techniques to locate debtors with outdated contact information.

• 0-1 years of experience in collections or customer service roles, ideally within a financial or credit environment (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Some college coursework in business or related fields (preferred).
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with a respectful and professional communication style.
• Proficient verbal and written communication abilities, including active listening and empathy.
• Capability to manage challenging conversations and resolve conflicts while maintaining professionalism.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Basic computing skills and the ability to obtain a required license for collections upon placement.

• Familiarity with collections software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (preferred).
• Understanding of debt‑collection laws, regulations, and compliance requirements (preferred).
