Assistant Technical Designer

Overview

We are seeking an entry-level Assistant Technical Designer to support our technical design team on a full-time, onsite basis through May. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in product development and garment construction who is eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, fashion-focused environment.

• Measure and spec garments accurately against established standards and size specifications.
• Assist in creating and updating detailed tech packs, including measurements, construction details, trims, and callouts.
• Record fit comments and construction notes during fittings and ensure updates are reflected in all documentation.
• Follow up with vendors on sample status, approvals, and required corrections.
• Track and organize incoming samples, ensuring they are properly labeled, measured, and logged.
• Support the technical design team with day-to-day administrative and production-related tasks as needed.

• Entry-level or up to 2 years of experience in technical design, product development, or a related apparel role.
• Foundational understanding of garment construction, fit, and grading.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when measuring and documenting garment specs.
• Comfort working in Excel or similar tools to update tech packs and measurement charts.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for professional correspondence with vendors.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Newport Beach, CA through May.
