Role DescriptionThis is a contract, on-site role for an Event Assistant or Coordinator, located in Indianapolis, IN. The primary responsibilities include supporting event planning and execution, managing event logistics, liaising with clients and vendors, and ensuring smooth event operations. The role involves maintaining clear communication, managing schedules, and addressing any issues that may arise during the event. The successful candidate will also assist with pre-event preparation and post-event follow-up tasks as necessary.
We are looking for both event assistants and an Event Coordinator. Event assistants need to be able to commit to 8-10 Friday/Saturdays per year.
Event coordinators would be taking on projects on a contract basis, scheduling meeting and running events on their own time. There would also be a training period for coordinators.
Qualifications- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to engage professionally with clients, vendors, and team members
- Experience in Event Planning and Event Management, with the ability to handle the complexities of event logistics
- Excellent Organization Skills to handle scheduling, task prioritization, and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to adapt in dynamic environments and problem-solve effectively under pressure
- Proficiency with event management software and tools is a plus
- A flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings and weekends, as needed
- Relevant experience or coursework in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field is preferred
