We are seeking a Construction Field Coordinator for a position in Whiting, IN. The Construction Field Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the field execution process and ensuring that the project is constructed and/or maintained in accordance with design, budget and schedule. This includes interfacing with client representatives, coordinating on site functions including scheduling, material control, and contractor / sub-contractor coordination. This role will assist with collecting updates for the project and monitoring cost and schedule reports, using them to make recommendations and communicate with key stakeholders.
This role reports directly to the Project Manager.
Functional Requirements:
Attend project planning reviews and job kick-off meetings. Monitor execution schedules and stay ahead of discipline changes and any schedule interruptions for subcontractors, ensuring communication with all involved groups to maintain job progress and deadlines; communicate closely with and assist supervisors of the subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of critical project information (including documents on the job package checklist and permit requirements), important deadlines and schedule changes, ensuring the team has full visibility of the work progression;
during execution, ensure that subcontractors are meeting all expectations laid out by the team regarding schedule progress, change order management, safety, quality, and timely reports and communicating any discrepancies to the Project Manager and stakeholders; participate in all scheduling meetings, cost report reviews, and any other internal meetings deemed necessary; stay engaged with the client and Contractor supervision through one-on-one meetings, meeting important deadlines, and following up on commitments;
participate in Job Audits, NDE and other QC requirements, as needed; other duties as assigned
Essential
Qualifications:
* 5-7 years in construction management, field coordination, or a similar trade role
* An associate or bachelor's degree in construction management or a related technical field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
* Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
* Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
* Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives
* Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
* Ability to work in various, sometimes harsh, weather conditions
* Flexibility for long hours, weekends, and overtime as required
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
