About the Role

As an Engineering Project Specialist supporting a pharmaceutical client in Indianapolis, OH, you will combine technical expertise with project coordination responsibilities to ensure successful delivery of engineering initiatives. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting systems, coordinating project schedules and documentation, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to meet deadlines and operational goals. You will balance hands‑on technical work with organizational oversight, ensuring projects run smoothly while supporting the client’s critical facility operations.

What

You’ll Do
  • Coordinate with contractors, obtain quotes, and oversee project execution from start to finish.
  • Manage fit‑and‑finish work, remodels, and research lab projects (LRL).
  • Partner with vetted subcontractors through the Lilly Alliance Group to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Provide on‑site oversight (“boots on the ground”) to monitor progress and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
  • Oversee daily operations, assign work orders, and deliver technical and procedural training to coworkers and subcontractors.
  • Consult with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and downtime to minimize business interruptions.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of building machinery and systems.
  • Inspect and verify work performed by engineering staff, ensuring completion, functionality, and readiness of client spaces.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, coordinating additional assistance as needed.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of job‑related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Workplace Experience Supervisor position is $38.46 per hour and the maximum salary for the position is $45.19 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
