We’re seeking a Construction Project Engineer / Inspection Lead to join a well-established and growing construction team supporting public civil infrastructure projects across Indiana. This role offers a strong balance of field involvement and project coordination, working closely with inspectors, contractors, and experienced leadership.

What You’ll Be DoingSupport day‑to‑day construction oversight and provide guidance to construction inspectors
Serve as a Resident Project Representative (RPR) on assigned projects or provide coverage as needed
Participate in and help facilitate construction progress meetings
Coordinate with contractors to schedule inspections and help resolve field or design issues
Assist with tracking schedules, costs, and technical details to support on‑time, on‑budget delivery
Review materials and workmanship for compliance with plans and specifications
Help ensure construction activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including safety standards
Stable, long‑term workload focused on public infrastructure projects
Supportive, team‑oriented construction group with experienced leadership
Professional development, regular performance reviews, and annual compensation reviews
A healthy mix of field and office responsibilities
Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Experience supporting civil construction projects such as wet utilities, water/wastewater treatment facilities, water main and sanitary sewer installations
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts
Working knowledge of construction cost tracking, bidding, estimating, or project risk considerations
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with Procore or similar construction/project management software is a plus
Prior construction inspection or RPR experience
Exposure to publicly bid or federally funded infrastructure projects
Comfort leading or participating in professional construction meetings
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
$35–$45 per hour, depending on experience (pay can flex higher for well‑qualified candidates)
Mileage reimbursement at the federal rate (currently $0.725 per mile)
$50 per month cell phone allowance

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
