- Provides contractor oversight for field activities
- Ensures adherence to drawings and specifications
- Coordinates activities with existing facility
- Oversees safety, environmental, and QA/QC compliance
- Supports Site Construction Manager in contractor management
- Interfaces with Discipline Engineers for construction issues
- Strong civil/earthwork/rebar fabrication/concrete placement experience in power plant construction is preferred
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance regarding civil/earthwork, rebar fabrication/concrete placements, mechanical systems and piping (underground and above ground), electrical and instrumentation systems
- Ensure compliance with safe work practices and environmental work practices
- Monitor performance against the schedule
- Validate milestones and/or quantities submitted by contractor for payment
- Assist in resolution of field problems as appropriate
- Identify and provide field observations of key work activities
- Ensure quality of construction through continuous monitoring of QC process
- Communicate and collaborate with team members daily to address construction issues
- Attend project and department meetings as required
- Support Construction and Maintenance team to achieve company objectives
- Responsible for execution of construction, maintenance and restoration activities
- Possess leadership skills to support execution of work
- Support management of customer commitment dates
- Support customer satisfaction initiatives
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices, standards, work methods and procedures
- 10+ years experience
