Construction Project Manager
Location: Indianapolis, IN or Bloomington, IN area
Job Type: Full-Time | In Person
Our Indiana-based construction client is seeking multiple Construction Project Managers to lead ground-up, cradle-to-grave commercial construction projects in Indianapolis and the Bloomington area. These roles will oversee all construction activities in coordination with on-site Superintendents.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with project teams to gather and manage all relevant project information
- Prepare bid documents and manage distribution to subcontractors and vendors
- Develop, update, and manage project schedules and budgets on a weekly basis
- Adjust preconstruction budgets to reflect actual post-bid costs
- Maintain and monitor project budgets and accounting records throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct regular project meetings to review budget, schedule, and progress
- Perform routine site visits, including full-day visits as required by project phase and location
- Prepare detailed, project-specific product manuals for turnover to property management
- Coordinate building turnover schedules with clients to ensure smooth transitions
- Establish and oversee jobsite safety programs in collaboration with the Superintendent
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and all federal, state, and local regulations
- Perform additional duties as needed to support project success
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field
preferred- OR 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proven ability to work effectively with building officials, clients, subcontractors, and vendors
- Solid understanding of construction scheduling and experience with scheduling software
- Strong financial and budget management skills
- Proficient in standard construction/project management software;
Procore experience is a plus
- $85k - $125k
- 4+ years of ground-up commercial construction projects over $30M
- 8+ years of ground-up commercial construction projects over $15M
- Ground-up Department of Defense projects (4+ years)
- Municipal projects (2+ years)
- Industrial/Manufacturing projects (2+ years)
- Parking garages (1+ year)
- Higher education projects (1+ year)
- K–12 construction (1+ year)
- Healthcare construction (1+ year)
- Athletic facilities (1+ year)
