responsible for job costs, hiring key positions within the group, resolving all field issues and meeting project schedules.

• establish work plans and schedules
• work closely with other superintendents and owner’s representative to coordinate job schedule, changes and any construction issues that arise
• work closely with other superintendents to ensure all work complies with drawings and specifications
• assist in reviewing project bids once a month
• assist the project manager with the production of pay estimates and developing change orders
• resolve all field construction issues
• review, evaluate, and correct any daily cost, timesheets, truck, and equipment usage issues
• team with area manager and other superintendents in maintaining communication with unions and resolving jurisdictional disputes.
• monitor employee compliance with safety program requirements and other company policies
• create teamwork and communication between all disciplines of work in the area

• ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of heavy highway/civil construction experience preferred
• complete understanding of all field operations and construction methods for those operations
• strong quantitative and analytical skills
• exceptional organizational skills
• adaptable and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
• proficiency in microsoft word and excel essential
• problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
• self‑motivated; ability to work independently
• good written and verbal communication skills
