Location: On‑site at a Hagerman construction site (not remote).
Job SummaryThe Superintendent will be responsible for managing field operations on assigned projects to ensure completion within budget, schedule, safety, and quality standards, directing employees, managing resources, subcontractors, and client relationships.
SuperintendentKey Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day on‑site operations of commercial construction projects, including scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance.
- Supervise construction staff and subcontractors, ensuring all work follows design specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to establish timelines and communicate progress.
- Conduct regular site inspections, identifying and addressing any issues.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and promote a culture of safety.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses and ensure efficient use of materials and labor.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
- Collaborate with local agencies and utility companies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and tradespeople.
- Minimum 9 years progressive field construction experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
- Technical knowledge and problem‑solving capabilities equivalent to construction or engineering training.
- Proficiency in reading plans and specifications; overall knowledge of mechanical, electrical, etc.
- Ability to understand project finances.
- Strong verbal, written and critical‑thinking skills.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor‑vehicle record.
- Proficiency with PM software (Procore preferred), Microsoft Suite and cost spreadsheets.
- Familiarity with contract administration, RFI, Schedule of Values, billing adjustments and construction scheduling.
- Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) or comparable; otherwise willingness to obtain certification within 6 months.
