Project Manager (Steel Construction)

Senior Project Manager – Full-time, On-site, Indianapolis, IN

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, or equivalent. Ground-up project experience from raw land to turnover with projects valued in the $20M+ range may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager on ground-up projects valued in the $20M+ range, utilizing steel and steel fabrication as the primary building material.
  • Must be located within driving distance of Indianapolis; the position is 100% on-site.

Responsibilities
  • Exhibit strong skills in construction management and ensure each project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule specifications for the structural and miscellaneous steel packages.
  • Respond promptly to needs and requests, manage priorities effectively, anticipate future needs, and initiate necessary changes.
  • Manage structural and miscellaneous steel construction budgets, contract administration, and the change‑management process.
  • Work in concert with the project and site management teams.
  • Attend site progress meetings (as required) and communicate as needed with General Contractor/Construction Manager teams.
  • Oversee RFIs through processing and issuing paperwork, maintaining logs and distributing returned documents.
  • Manage drawing logs, track submittals, review after approval drawings, coordinate drawings for all aspects of the job, and manage and distribute ASI/ESI drawings.
  • Manage field discrepancies and fixes, verify field measurements as needed, and track NCR/design changes.
