Experience:

Entry level position, two years construction related experience preferred

• Working Towards passing all INDOT Certified Technician tests
• Working towards obtaining all INDOT IAS written and side-by-side proficiency testing
• Actively working to become competent in Site Manager
• Have a plan to complete all the training classes prescribed by the Department Manager

• Able to inspect projects under direct supervision
• Able to work with multiple Project Managers and Contractors
• Responsible for providing quality control for materials delivered to the jobsite
• Able to maintain a journal and complete all daily field inspection reports on time
• Able to perform detailed calculations and accurately quantify daily pay quantities
• Able to calibrate and maintain testing equipment
• Able to assist with completing a Final Construction Record
• Willing to be trained and mentored

• Must possess good interpersonal skills
• Must possess good communication skills
• Must possess good organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

• Able to work seated or standing 8 or more hours per day
• Able to work 40 hours or more per work week, as needed
• Able to work outdoors for long periods of time in all weather conditions while negotiating unevenor difficult terrain
• Able to travel throughout Indiana including overnight stays

Other Requirements:
Possess a valid Indiana driver’s license
