Gradex, Inc., a heavy civil construction company, is hiring a Safety Manager in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Gradex is on an exciting growth plan with dynamic employment opportunities. As our Safety Manager, you will play a key role in creating and maintaining a safe work environment across all projects. You’ll help lead day‑to‑day safety efforts including jobsite safety meetings, trainings, and job‑site inspections, while supporting crews and leadership to ensure compliance and safe work practices. Reporting to the Senior Safety Manager, you will be a hands‑on partner in keeping our projects safe, productive, and well‑managed.

• Conduct and lead jobsite safety meetings and trainings.
• Perform regular field safety inspections and audits.
• Support daily safety practices and compliance on active jobsites.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
• Promote a strong safety culture and employee engagement.
• Maintain and update all required safety documentation and reporting.

• 5–10 years of safety experience in construction is preferred.
• Heavy civil background is a plus but not required.
• CHST certification is required or must be obtained within an agreed timeframe.
• Strong understanding of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices.
• Prior experience in trenching and excavation is a plus.
• Must have OSHA 500.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with field teams.

Gradex, Inc. will reward your safety talents with a salary of $80K–$85K depending on your experience.
