Heart Rock Justus Family Recovery Center for Women is recovery supportive housing for women, specifically pregnant women and women with children under 4, who suffer from substance use disorder.
Position SummaryThe Supervised Visitation Facilitator is responsible for providing safe, structured, and developmentally appropriate supervised visitation services between parents and children involved with the Department of Child Services (DCS). This role also includes transporting children and/or parents to and from visits, appointments, and related services as needed. The facilitator ensures visits are conducted in compliance with DCS guidelines, court orders, and organizational policies while maintaining a trauma-informed, neutral, and professional approach.
- Facilitate and supervise court-ordered DCS-referred parent-child visits
- Ensure the safety, emotional well-being, and physical supervision of children
- Observe and document parent-child interactions objectively
- Intervene appropriately when guidelines are not followed
- End visits early if safety concerns arise and follow reporting procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for children and/or parents
- Ensure proper use of car seats and safety restraints
- Communicate delays or concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate transportation and mileage logs
- Complete visitation notes, incident reports, and logs timely
- Ensure documentation meets DCS and court standards
- Report concerns to supervisors promptly
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in child welfare or social services preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass background and drug screenings
- Strong communication and professionalism
