At Regions, the Small Business Administration Origination Manager directs, coordinates, and leads the business development and sales activities of a team of Small Business Administration (SBA) Bankers in an assigned geographical location. This role is focused on revenue growth, business model execution, sales performance, sound risk practices and customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages sales process and coaches SBA Bankers in all sales development efforts
- Plans call and sales goals with SBA Leadership, ensuring they are clearly communicated to bankers
- Provides sales coaching and feedback on pipeline of new and expanded business
- Ensures adherence to internal policies and procedures
- Provides leadership and support to SBA management while building a team‑oriented culture of excellence
- Performs general management duties, exercising usual authority concerning staff, performance appraisals, promotions, and terminations
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Five (5) years of SBA banking, sales or relationship management experience
- Demonstrated credit acumen
Preferences
- Master's degree in a related field
- Seven (7) years of experience in commercial, consumer and/or SBA banking, sales, or relationship management
- Prior experience in management/supervisory role

- Ability to supervise and manage a team
- Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

- Strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- This position will lead large dollar SBA bankers and business for the GA/CAR District and include other future geographies to be determined.
- This group will focus on SBA transactions greater than $500,000.

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point‑of‑market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Incentive Pay Plans:
This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals. Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
