** Asphalt Materials, Inc. is currently seeking an intern to spend this summer helping our Purchasing Department as a Supply Chain Analyst Intern.
** Essential Functions
*** Assisting in creating and developing proposals, bids, and purchase requests
* Understand and create tracking and communication processes for trucking, rail, and purchasing
* Assist in developing and implementing strategies for purchasing chemicals, raw materials, and trucking
* Will have exposure to multiple lines of business
* Helping the team complete compliance projects using excel
* Other duties as assigned
** Education Qualifications
*** Working toward a bachelor's degree or recent graduate in:
Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Economics, General Business, or Related Fields
*
* Skills and Abilities

*** Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite of products especially Excel and PowerPoint (should be familiar with pivot tables and v lookups, etc.)
* Willingness to learn and be an excellent team player
* Attention to detail
