Internship Program

Internship positions for 2027 will be open for applications from August 31st - October 2nd, 2026

NiSource interns perform challenging and meaningful work while being immersed in a multi-faceted development experience. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior leadership and build professional relationships with employees across our company.

Throughout your internship you will participate in workshops to learn about our company and the energy industry. You will also learn from subject matter experts within and outside of your internship area.

We’re committed to providing learning and development opportunities that sharpen your professional skills. You will participate in a variety of activities to help you learn more about career development.

From day one, you will be contributing to the business with real, hands‑on work. All NiSource internships are paid positions.

From the first day of your internship, you will have the opportunity to network with other interns, NiSource employees and executives.

You will be assigned a Leader and Advisor within your department.

Who Should Apply

• We are looking for full‑time students that can demonstrate the following:
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
• Completion of intermediate‑level course work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Involvement in community service and/or extracurricular activities
