We are seeking candidates for the position of Logistics Specialist I at the Indianapolis site for 2nd shift. The individual will be part of the stores and warehousing team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring coordination and distribution of work to meet internal and external customer needs, staff training, coordinating activities throughout the site and managing projects within the logistics organization.

Scope and Charter

We are seeking candidates for the position of Logistics Specialist I at the Indianapolis site for 2nd shift. The individual will be part of the stores and warehousing team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring coordination and distribution of work to meet internal and external customer needs, staff training, coordinating activities throughout the site and managing projects within the logistics organization.

Tasks

The following is a sample of the various tasks required of the Logistics Analyst. The omission of specific responsibilities does not exclude them from the position if the tasking is comparable or logically associated to the position.

  • Coordinate tasking with team members
  • Plans, schedules, and manage efficient movement of material throughout the facility.
  • Support and instill a culture of safety, quality and DFAR compliance.
  • Plan, organize and manage tasking to ensure that work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
  • Use analytic skills along with MRP requirements to prioritize work assignments and overall material handler tasking.
  • May conduct interviews and make staffing recommendations.
  • Share key organizational communications with teams and ensure appropriate actions are completed.
  • Work on action plans related to improvement.
  • Maintain the data necessary for compliance with the various facility certifications.
  • Perform related work as required.
  • Assess PKI for continual improvement and work analysis.
  • Data entry and maintenance related to systems and physical inventory.
  • Significant utilize tools and resources to conduct daily problem solving.
